Success at Birmingham’s annual spoof property awards was the icing on the cake for several of the industry’s leading professionals who rose to the occasion when they clashed in the kitchen.

The Brenda Awards, now in its 11th year, is the annual tongue-in-cheek awards event that sees the Birmingham commercial property sector join forces to raise funds for disadvantaged children.

This year’s event, staged at the Burlington Hotel and attended by 400 influential property professionals, collected more than £33,000 for Property for Kids. The chosen charity this year is Birmingham Hippodrome Young Carers programme. Other local charities will also gain support.

Brenda’s committee chairman Jilly Cosgrove said: “Once again all our friends involved in commercial property across the Birmingham area have shown how very generous they are by helping Property for Kids raise more than £33,000. Thanks to their support we’ve been able to help improve the lives of many disadvantaged young people.”
